01.Before the trail

Map switch with traction control and quickshifter on it, a filter you reach without tools, and footrests that shed mud.

Three functions, one thumb

Map Select Switch

Two EFI maps, traction control and the quickshifter, all from the switch on the bar. Traction control reads throttle against how fast the revs climb and trims the power when the rear spins up; switch it off for full control. Map 1 linear, Map 2 sharper.

Set it on the stand

Tool-free adjustability

Compression and rebound clickers on the top and bottom of each fork leg, rebound and high/low-speed compression on the shock — all by hand. A change takes the time it takes to twist them.

Breathe, don't drink

Airbox

Inlet ducts placed to keep the airflow clean and the filter protected. The Twin Air filter sits on a cage that only fits one way, and comes out without tools behind the left side panel.

Held, not hung

Fuel tank

Eight litres inside the bodywork on a rubber cushion, so the tank stays put and the frame does not wear. The external fuel line is routed where sticks and rocks do not reach it.

Footrests

Large footrests shaped with CFD so mud does not build up, mounted inboard so they are less likely to hook the ground through deep ruts.

Every major component and shaft placed close to the centre of gravity to cut rotational inertia — the reason the FE 250 turns like it does. Positioned in the chassis to centralise mass further, the whole engine weighs just over 27.8 kg. Six speeds, DDS clutch on Brembo hydraulics.

DLC and titanium

DOHC cylinder head

Finger followers with a diamond-like-carbon coating and titanium valves — 32.5 mm intake, 27.5 mm exhaust — for the gas flow that lets the 250 rev freely and make strong, efficient power across the range.

Forged, bridged, light

Cylinder & piston

An 81 mm bore and a forged CP bridged-box piston, both in high-strength aluminium, at a 14.4:1 compression ratio for maximum torque and peak power.

No linkage on the cable

Throttle body

A 42 mm Keihin throttle body tuned for response: the injector placed for the most efficient flow into the chamber, and the throttle cable on the body directly, with no linkage in between.

Two-piece header

Exhaust

A two-piece header that comes off without removing the shock, and a short compact silencer that keeps the noise down — aluminium, black-coated, at the lowest weight the performance allows.

Fan fitted

Cooling

CFD-designed aluminium radiators with a fan as standard, a large centre tube through the frame to keep the coolant flowing, an internal thermostat, and a threaded cap for the pre-ride check.

Clutch stays untouched

Quickshifter

Switched from the map switch: the ignition is cut for a fraction of a second and the next gear goes in at full throttle without the clutch, from second up.

Press, go

Electric start

A 2 Ah lithium-ion battery and a proven starter, with the combined start/stop switch on the right of the bar. Stall in a rut, press, go.

03.The chassis

A white chromoly frame, a 1.8 kg hybrid subframe and WP XACT at both ends — the enduro chassis built for feedback.

Where the material goes

Frame

Chromium-molybdenum steel with the material placed around the steering head and upper shock mount for confident turn-in and stability — in a metallic white powder coat, with frame protectors that guard the paint and give the knees something to grip.

1.8 kg at the back

Hybrid subframe

60 % polyamide, 40 % aluminium: cast aluminium lower spars and mounts for reliability, injection-moulded polyamide up top for a flex you can feel. Strength and durability at 1.8 kg.

Flex by calculation

Swingarm

Die-cast with a calculated rigidity, a 22 mm rear axle to complement the chassis flex, and a durable chain slider built in — momentum kept through the rutted corners.

Closed cartridge, open hands

WP XACT closed-cartridge fork

Polished lightweight springs, mid-valve pistons that stop the oil foaming, and a one-piece hydrostop in the last 68 mm that keeps the front end driving when you land hard. Compression and rebound by hand, top and bottom of each leg.

A CFD-optimised main piston for comfort off the top and predictability everywhere else, working through a linkage. Rebound and high/low-speed compression adjusted by hand.

Brembo, front to lever

Brakes & clutch

Single-piece aluminium Brembo calipers front and rear on 260 / 220 mm discs that shed mud; a strong rear pedal that survives the ruts. The Brembo hydraulic clutch compensates free play on its own, so the bite point is the same cold, hot and a season later.

Triple clamps & wheels

Black-anodised CNC triple clamps with a 22 mm offset and a wide bar clamp that resists twisting in a crash, two mounting positions for the ProTaper bar. Black-anodised alloy rims on CNC hubs, wrapped in Michelin enduro rubber.

Quick-release light

LED headlight

A bright LED unit that makes dense woodland at night readable — mounted in the mask on a quick-release, so a broken one is swapped in minutes, not an afternoon.

Stand up, lock in

Bodywork

Smooth contact points in the rider triangle so you can grip the bike with your legs and not your arms; in-mould graphics on the shrouds that do not peel; a tall, wide seat with a high-grip cover for the hard acceleration.

Grip, managed

Traction control

The EMS watches throttle position against how fast the revs climb; when the rear spins up faster than the ground allows it trims the power until the tyre bites. On or off from the map switch — your call per test.

Premium manufacturer's warranty

Offroad bikes from model year 2027 carry up to 1 year of manufacturer coverage. It stays valid with intended use and scheduled services at an authorised Husqvarna Motorcycles dealer, under the standard conditions on the delivery certificate. Every bike NTG supplies is new and comes with that certificate.
