01.Style

All red, flat seat, four bar positions, ODI grips for small hands.

3 features
2027 GASGAS MC 65 — Bodywork

Scaled, not shrunk

Bodywork

All red, and shaped like the big bikes. Larger contact areas let a small rider grip the bike with the legs for control, and a flatter seat profile lets them move fore and aft without a step in the way — which matters most for the shorter riders in the class.

2027 GASGAS MC 65 — Adjustable ergonomics

Find the right fit

Adjustable ergonomics

Built to fit more than one size of rider. The bodywork and subframe mount in a high or a low position, the WP shock does the same, and the handlebars can be installed four different ways. Set it up for the rider at the start of the season and again halfway through, instead of buying a new bike.

2027 GASGAS MC 65 — Handlebars

Get a grip

Handlebars

A modern bar bend designed to help a kid ride with proper technique — elbows up, weight forward — rather than a cut-down adult bar. Slim-profile ODI grips for small hands: comfort, less fatigue, and a proper hold on the bars, which is where control starts.

02.Frame

Chromoly steel with a geometry made for kids, and a hybrid subframe that moves with the rider.

2027 GASGAS MC 65 — Frame & subframe

Built tough, adjustable

Frame & subframe

Chromoly steel frame with a geometry made for kids — stable in a straight line, easy to turn, and tough enough for the crashes that come with learning. The hybrid subframe (polyamide glass fibre and steel) is light, durable and height-adjustable, which is what lets the seat height move with the rider.

03.Suspension

35 mm WP XACT AER, a fully adjustable shock and a cast swingarm.

3 features
2027 GASGAS MC 65 — WP XACT AER fork

Pumped up

WP XACT AER fork

35 mm WP XACT AER fork with an air cartridge and 215 mm of travel — real damping and control for a rider who is starting to pick up the pace. It soaks up the big bumps without deflecting, and because the spring is air, the pressure is set for rider weight and track with a pump rather than a spring change.

2027 GASGAS MC 65 — WP XACT shock

Fully adjustable

WP XACT shock

WP XACT shock, fully adjustable like the big bikes: preload, rebound, and both high- and low-speed compression. That means the bike can be set up for the rider's size and style — and set up again as they get heavier and faster — rather than the rider having to adapt to the bike.

  • 253.5 mmtravel
2027 GASGAS MC 65 — Swingarm

Big-bike tech

Swingarm

Die-cast aluminium swingarm designed to work with the flex characteristics of the frame — big-bike technology at 65 and 50 scale. The chain slider has a rounded profile, so when the ruts get deep the bike glides through them instead of hooking up.

04.Motor

A pressure-controlled exhaust valve, a close-ratio six-speed, a Mikuni carb and a hydraulic DS clutch — the real thing, at 65 cc.

7 features
2027 GASGAS MC 65 — Engine

Serious, from 65

Engine

The crankcases are machined after casting for tighter tolerances around the crankshaft, so no power is lost to slop. Around that: a close-ratio six-speed gearbox, a hydraulic clutch, a BRISK spark plug and a pressure-controlled exhaust valve. 64.9 cm³, 45 mm bore, 40.8 mm stroke, in a bike that weighs 54.3 kg without fuel.

2027 GASGAS MC 65 — Cylinder

Power valve

Cylinder

A lightweight aluminium cylinder with a Pressure Controlled Exhaust Valve (PCEV) that spreads the power across the whole rev range instead of one narrow hit. A specific exhaust-valve ventilation design on the cylinder head, sourced in Austria, adds build quality and durability. It is the reason a 65 rider on this bike has a real advantage off the corner.

2027 GASGAS MC 65 — Airbox and filter

Seat off, filter out

Airbox and filter

Filter changes are quick and clean: a failproof snap-lock mount holds the filter securely and comes apart by hand. Inside is a Twin Air filter with a large surface area for maximum airflow into the engine — and on a two-stroke, more clean air is more power.

2027 GASGAS MC 65 — Exhaust

Sealed tight

Exhaust

A laser-cut exhaust flange gasket in high-grade material improves the seal at the cylinder and lasts. Together with the header pipe and silencer, the system delivers strong, clean power across the whole rev range — nothing leaking at the flange, nothing restricting the flow.

2027 GASGAS MC 65 — Transmission

Learn to shift

Transmission

A close-ratio six-speed built for performance and durability. Close ratios keep a young rider in the sweet spot of the powerband, and smooth, precise engagement means a missed shift is forgiven — the confidence to focus on the riding and push, rather than on the gear lever.

2027 GASGAS MC 65 — Carburettor

The heart

Carburettor

A 24 mm Mikuni carburettor with jetting settings worked out for this engine, exhaust and intake, so the 65 runs clean through its whole rev range from the crate. Simple, dependable, and known by every mechanic in the paddock — there is nothing on it a parent cannot learn.

2027 GASGAS MC 65 — DS clutch

Full-size clutch tech

DS clutch

A Diaphragm Spring clutch in a strong steel basket, straight from the big bikes. The spring compensates for wear as the plates go, so performance never falters, and Formula hydraulic actuation keeps the lever light and fade-free — the consistent bite point a rider needs to learn clutch control. The clutch fixation uses high-strength pre-coat and increased tightening torque, so the assembly stays put.

05.Parts

Formula brakes on waved discs, forged clamps, twin radiators and Maxxis rubber.

4 features
2027 GASGAS MC 65 — Brakes

Stopping power

Brakes

Floating Formula callipers on a 198 mm waved front disc and a 180 mm waved rear. High-performance brakes a small hand can modulate, which lets the rider stay on the gas longer, brake later and hold the line through the turn instead of rolling off early.

2027 GASGAS MC 65 — Wheels and tyres

Rip 'n go

Wheels and tyres

Lightweight, strong wheels on black-anodised rims, wrapped in Maxxis MaxxCross MX-ST tyres. Grip on the widest range of surfaces and a predictable feel, which is what a young rider needs to trust the front end — and a set of wheels that stays true through a season of hard landings.

2027 GASGAS MC 65 — Triple clamps

In line

Triple clamps

Forged triple clamps that hold the WP fork legs perfectly in line so the suspension works unrestricted, with a calculated amount of flex for comfort and stability. A 17 mm top nut secures the upper clamp and seals water and dirt away from the steering bearings — longer between services.

2027 GASGAS MC 65 — Radiators

Stay cool

Radiators

Two radiators, as on the full-size bikes, keep the 65 at temperature through a full moto. Well protected from damage, and connected with simplified hose routing that lets the coolant flow more efficiently — better cooling, better reliability, and fewer hoses to split.
