01.Set the standard

An injected plastic race fairing with a taller bubble, a 4.2" race dash, and a switch cube with a kill switch and pit limiter — no lights, no mirrors, no key.

Bodywork

The GP-derived fairing in injected plastic: crash-damaged sections swap out with a perfect fit, new tooling around the belly pan and seat improves integration, and the bubble sits 2.5 cm higher than the RC R for a more comfortable tuck. Designed for personal decals and graphics.

Race cockpit

A 4.2" landscape TFT for prime track usability: anti-glare, anti-fingerprint, anti-reflex on an optically bonded screen. It shows the three Track modes, the pit limiter, the Quickshifter+ and the engine-brake configuration — the full Track Pack, included as standard.

Kill switch, pit limiter

Race-ready controls

A slim switch cube with haptic feedback for quick operation, a kill switch, a 60 km/h pit limiter, lap-timer and slip-adjuster controls. High beam and horn are gone; an ignition button replaces the key. Brake-lever and sprocket protectors, a quick-release fuel cap, a wet-weather tail light, paddock bobbins and a paddock stand come as standard.

LC8c parallel twin

The RC R's Euro 5+ 947 cc DOHC LC8c, boosted to 135 PS (99.3 kW) and 105 Nm at 7 000 rpm through a full Akrapovič Evolution stainless-steel system weighing 3 kg at 98.2 dB, with five-level engine-brake configuration. A racing gearbox with a longer first and a shorter sixth makes the straights shorter still.

Track modes & electronics

No ABS or cruise control on the racetrack — but the 6D IMU still feeds the lean-angle sensor for engageable MTC, Quickshifter+ and three customisable Track modes: throttle response (Smooth, Linear, Aggressive), slip 0–9, six anti-wheelie levels, Launch Control and engine brake. Connectivity Unit removed, harness simplified: two kilos less than the RC R.

03.Performance & edge

A flatter seat at 857 mm, clip-ons 10 mm lower and 3° down, pegs 25 mm up with six positions, a reversible shift pattern.

A flatter seat better integrated with the plastic fairing — rounder surfaces, redefined edges — so the rider darts around the bike with urgency and freedom. Seat height up to 857 mm for the attack poise.

Ergonomics

A flatter, angled seat, optimised contact surfaces and the 15.7-litre tank sculpted with elite racers for the six contact points. Machined black clip-ons 10 mm lower and 3° down, levers adjustable ±6°, pegs 25 mm up with six positions, and a shift pattern reversed by moving one screw.

Brembo HyPure on a direct line without an ABS modulator, a 170 kg chassis with an adjustable steering damper, WP APEX tuned for racing asphalt, and Michelin Power Slick 2.

Next-generation four-piston Brembo HyPure calipers on two 320 mm Brembo discs, a single-piston unit on a 240 mm Galfer disc — and with the ABS modulator removed for a direct line between cylinder and calipers, a big upgrade in feel and in track-side servicing.

52.5/47.5 weight distribution, 33 mm offset and a 25° steering angle for a planted front; an aluminium die-cast swingarm with a minimalist linkage for flex and stability across track bumps, and an adjustable steering damper for the quickest racing lines. 170 kg dry.

The 48 mm WP APEX open-cartridge fork modified over many laps of Europe's most prominent circuits, in 33 mm black-anodised triple clamps: 30 clicks of compression and rebound, 6 mm of preload. WP Pro Components available for the extra tenths.

Premium manufacturer's warranty

The 990 RC R Track is a non-homologated competition bike and carries up to 1 year of manufacturer coverage. It stays valid with intended use and scheduled services at an authorised KTM dealer, under the standard conditions on the delivery certificate. Every bike NTG supplies is new and comes with that certificate.
