KTM AMT: a fully automated mode for low speeds and cruising, or a conventional manual mode when the road turns interesting. One of the most significant engine developments KTM has made in years — total control at walking pace, the sporting element intact.

A significantly reworked 75° V-twin: displacement up from 1 301 to 1 350 cc, Camshift technology, Euro 5+ — 173 PS and 145 Nm, with valve clearance checks only every 60 000 km.

Two cam profiles

Camshift

Variable valve timing with two cam profiles: shorter inlet timing and lift low in the revs, then the inlet cams shift sideways for longer openings and higher lift when the revs climb — torque where you ride, top end when you ask.

Magnetic valves

WP semi-active suspension

The latest WP SAT with through-rod technology for less friction and more sensitivity. Electronically controlled magnetic valves vary the damping to the surface and your inputs; Comfort, Street, Sport and Rain damping modes from the TFT, and the optional Suspension Pro pack for more.

Sharper bite

Brembo brakes

Twin 320 mm discs with radial four-piston Brembo calipers, new front master cylinder and new pads for a sharper bite; 267 mm Brembo at the rear. Cornering ABS as standard.

Ice-axe tread

Wheels & tyres

Cast 19" / 17" wheels in new Dunlop Meridian tyres — an "ice-axe" tread pattern for traction on unpaved roads and water drainage, with the handling and stability for touring or mountain passes. 120/70 R19 and 170/60 R17.

8 mm lower, 10 mm wider

Footpegs

Footrest mounts 8 mm lower for a wider knee angle and 10 mm further out for contact and feel when standing — long days seated, control when you stand up.

Heat, away from the knees

Cooling

New, more efficient radiator fans with winglets, a more robust valve seat material and new alloys for thermal conductivity — and lateral air outlets that guide hot air away from the rider.

MTC, Cornering ABS with customisable modes, KTMconnect, ride modes, front radar, tyre pressure monitoring, cruise control, keyless, semi-active suspension and AMT — all standard on the EVO. Rally mode, adaptive brake light, Suspension Pro and Hill Hold Control remain optional.

WP XPLOR suspension

A 48 mm WP XPLOR split fork derived from the offroad range, and a high-end PDS monoshock at the rear — fully adjustable in preload (external handwheel), rebound and high/low-speed compression. 240 mm at each end.
